Spring decorating and Teen bedrooms

So the signs of Spring are here, no not the new buds, I mean charity bags on the drive, cars loaded for the tip, tins of paint in the garage and the usual mayhem of a fresh change.

We have started to update our teen’s bedroom and give him the grown up room he is ready for, his lovely childhood bed has gone to the charity shop and this is what’s left.

I can’t believe I’ve shown the mess but it’s all on the way out and I’m sad, the unsentimental Teen isn’t keeping anything.

This is the plan for his new room:- Paint, blind, double bed, bedding, & maybe a desk.

It all started with this bedding, he chose it himself after spotting in a magazine.

The room is white but we think the back wall will be painted the Teal colour and this blind will  compliment the grey.

He is currently sleeping in the spare room and wants a similar bed, we found this black one on MattressNextDay, it’s a great price so we can also buy a  memory foam mattress too. The bed will be the last thing to go in the room so speedy delivery is great.

He has quite a big room so hopefully a slim desk will fit under the window, something from Ikea I think.

Let’s hope I can update this post quite soon with a lovely pic of a stylish grown up room, and sneak this back on the bookshelf  for his sentimental Mum.

Wow — I bet you can’t believe that your baby boy is now a teenager!! I’ll have this two-fold in around 10 years time when my twins are all grown up!

So lovely that he’s had a hand in choosing the colour-scheme and bedding for his room — he has great taste 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up with #HomeEtc x

I’ve kept a box of primary art stuff & a couple of sentimental things, I’m sure he’ll be happy to see them when he’s an adult.

Stylish Teen, a grown up bedroom is a must have, I spent my teenage years holed up in a my little pony room, it was awful! 😉

Love the bedding he has chosen. I would have this in my bedroom ! I think the teal and grey would go great together. We are in the process of redoing daughters room and the playroom. What is it about Spring ! Looking forward to seeing the finished room x
