Weekend at a boat rally

If you know me you’ll know I am a reluctant boater, my other half is the boat lover and between me and the moody teen he tries his best to get us out and about.

He convinced us to go on a boat rally, 200 boats moored at Lymm for a 50/60’s themed weekend and luckily  the weather was gorgeous.

In the heart of Lymm village on the Bridgewater Canal the annual FBCC rally was hosted by Lymm Cruising Club, the sun was shining and facilities fab. Here’s a snippet of our weekend.

That looks like loads of fun! I would definitely like to go on a canal boat holiday in the future, maybe when the littlest is a bit bigger and not likely to climb outside and jump in the water!
Thanks for linking up to #whatevertheweather 🙂 x

I would LOVE to try this. I love the idea of staying on a narrow boat. It must be nice to get away from it all for a while and it’s so much fun that people dress up too. It looks like a lot of fun. Although how you convinced a teenager to tag along I’ll never know haha. Thank you so much for linking up to #whatevertheweather x

First off well done on getting the teen on the boat for the whole weekend. It looks like a fun weekend and I love the thought of narrow boats. BUT I too get motion sickness, and even though I am sure the canal doesn’t move much, I don’t think I could go away in one. But I love all the cute things you have got for yours xx

it looks like great fun, Lorraine! We stayed on a narrow pat for a week once but I had motion sickness when we returned to dry land!! I think I’m better on terra firma! Lynne xx

It looks like fun. I would like to have a holiday on a narrowboat, but it seems I can’t find the time for it 🙂
