Talk about it Tuesday 25/8/15

I was talking with my friend today who is worrying about her little boy starting school next week, he’s a great little boy and I’m sure he will have no issue at all, in fact the issues are all hers.

These days we worry so much about choosing a school, when I was a child we all went to the local school and the only choice that had to be made was wether you chose church school or not.

The was our experience………..

Is finding your dream school just pure luck

In 1997 we moved house. We chose our house on all the usual criteria, location, size, big sunny garden all the usual dream features, of course we didn’t need to worry about school as being 37 and my other half 42 It wasn’t our concern. Haha little did we know! In 2000 our son was born and so it began. continue

I think a lot of things are down to luck. I had a great teacher for my first 4 years as my mother decided to make me go to school an year younger, at 6, it was pure luck for me, as she had no idea that teacher was so good and warm and that she will push me to learn more.
I’m not sure how the school system is here, but in Romania for the first 4 years we had 1 teacher for most classes and a teacher for our English class (wasn’t that good). So, a teacher is bound to one class of kids for 4 years and after that she takes a new generation for the next 4 years and so on.

Anca I like the idea of same teacher, our friends in Hungary say their children start school at 7 too, here it is 4/5 and they change teacher every year in primary.

With my little boy’s school, we’ve chosen it coz it’s closest to our home… especially that I don’t drive and most of the school runs is done by me. Hope we’ve chosen the right one though! #TalkaiTues

It’s a tough decision, choosing where your children will be educated. They spend so much time there that you really want it to be the right school… Sounds like you and your husband made a great choice #TalkaiTues
