Talk about it Tuesday 23/6/15

Do you know the latest cure for Arthritis is a molecule from a Parasitic worm?

You probably don’t, but I read this stuff all the time.  After 30 years of coping with this condition I now take absolutely no notice.

Over 20 years ago I was given the wonder drug of the time, which nearly killed me. A  side effect of suppressed appetite, weight loss and extreme fatigue was rare and at first denied by clinicians,  after stopping medication the quick return of appetite seemed to confirm  suspicions.

What I have learnt over the years is every drug acts differently on each person, what works for you may not work on me.

Now I am a Mum, older and wiser I make my own choices and decisions. I now talk through ideas and suggestions and it seems to work.  I have a lot of damage to joints but I am well. I don’t dwell on my condition and tailor my life according to how I feel each day.

Around 10 million people in the UK are affected by Arthritis, you can find out more at NRAS

I suffer from several mental illnesses, and I rotate through different drugs that do different things to me and have weird side effects, so I understand about drugs and what they do. I know people that suffer from arthritis, and people that suffer from other physical ailments. Stay strong!
